Commission FAQs

What is the typical cost of your commissions?

While commissions are a very personal and subjective thing, generally speaking, my commissions start at approximately $150 for a 8½” X 11″ sized drawing. However, size, subject matter, and complexity can also play a factor in determining cost. Shipping or framing (if applicable) is not included in the commission price.

How long will a commission take?

Ideally, a commissioned piece should take approximately four (4) to six (6) weeks from receipt of deposit. Formal timelines will be negotiated and established on a commission-by-commission basis.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Shipping method and cost will be determined during initial discussions and prior to final payment.

Do you offer refunds?

As this is a collaborative process, I will do my very best to resolve any design issues that may come up during the creation process. After completion of the piece, if you do not wish to proceed in purchasing the piece, you will not be invoiced for the remainder of the cost or shipping. However, the initial deposit remains non-refundable.

Once the final invoice is paid and piece shipped to you, no refund or exchange will be allowed.

Who owns the copyright on the commissioned piece?

All copyrights and reproduction rights of original pieces of art are retained by the artist, Kristine Astop. The sale or commission of a piece does not transfer copyrights or reproduction rights. Artwork can be displayed in your home or place of work, but all public or online displays must be negotiated with the artist. Artwork may not be reproduced by any process without the expressed written permission of the artist.

Do you offer framing services?

No, I currently do not offer framing services.
